Hi, I’m Dr. Katie Hedlund
I’m a normal mom just like you who is on a mission to change the game for pregnant and postpartum women.
I started Mobile Mom Physical Therapy because women need women need an EASIER and MORE EFFECTIVE way to care for themselves during pregnancy and postpartum.
I am a non-traditional physical therapist who takes healing further than deep core activation, massage, trigger point release, stretching, and basic strengthening. I help women restore body alignment at the foundational level using breath and movement allowing the body to heal and feel strong again.
I have the tools and expertise to create the custom plan that your body needs to heal.

I graduated at the top of my physical therapy class from University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. During school and clinicals I struggled with the lack of depth with what we were learning. We learned about symptoms and about “bandaid” treatments and modalities, but we were not taught how to determine and fix WHY the symptoms started in the first place.
During my first pregnancy I struggled with back tension and rib pain that made it difficult to sit at all and even walk. I was told this was normal. Following a very difficult birth and delivery, my body was changed. As I tried to get back to exercise and activity, my body struggled with leaking and more pain. I felt disconnected. I didn’t know what to do. Again, I was told this was normal and was given “exercises” to strengthen my body, I did kegels, I did resistance training. I stretched. I still struggled. I was incredibly frustrated.
During my second pregnancy, my body was even more misaligned and out of balance- I could feel this. Because of this my baby was breech and stayed breech the entire pregnancy. I could feel how imbalanced my body was and knew that my baby was breech because of this.
Once I truly began to understand postural restoration and started implementing the power of BODY POSITION and breathing , everything changed for me. My leaking disappeared, I no longer dealt with daily pain, and I could even run for miles and jump on the trampoline without joint pain! It didn’t take hours of strengthening or stretching or trigger point massage, what helped me most was learning how to align my body from the inside out with breath.
I understand the female body at a deep level and now KNOW WHAT WORKS!

Postural Restoration (PRI) uncovers the common imbalances found in the human body stemming from neurological and respiratory asymmetries and aims to restore the optimal position for each person. This ALL allows muscles and joints to work how they were intended to work, to WITHOUT dysfunction and pain.

I am from a small central Nebraska town, a born and raised farm girl, and call the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills my home
I am married to Aaron and have 3 kids - Jones, Allie, and Wren. Jesus is our King and we love our Church.
I LOVE playing sand volleyball, spikeball, board games, and card games
My favorite place to be is at the lake.
I enjoy my homemade latte’s more than store bought
